Itinerary:
DAY 01. ARRIVAL SEMARANG – DIENG PLATEAU (L)
Afternoon arrival at Semarang. Meet and greet then proceed to Dieng plateau area. Dieng is located in the Central Java’s hinterland on 2.000 m elevation. The area is dotted with Hindu-Buddhist temple ruins and several calderas of an extinct volcano. Surrounded by jagged, mist shrouded mountains and local potato plantation, Dieng provides travelers more refreshing look of Central Java. Stay overnight in Dieng.
DAY 02. DIENG PLATEAU TOUR – BOROBUDUR – YOGYAKARTA (BL)
Breakfast served at hotel. Proceed touring around Dieng Plateau visiting Arjuna, Gatutkaca, Bima temple known as the Pandawa Lima temples. Old non active volcanic well Tuk Bima Lukar, Telaga Warna, Telaga Pengilon, Gua Semar, Kawah Sikidang, Telaga Merdada, Gua Jimat, Telaga Nila, Telaga Dringo and Sumur Jalatunda. Lunch served at local restaurant in Dieng Plateau. Afternoon check out and continue drive to Yogyakarta with stop at Borobudur temple, then drive to Yogyakarta. Check at hotel, free program.
DAY 03. MERAPI VIEW – PRAMBANAN - YOGYAKARTA CITY - PARANGTRITIS BEACH TOUR (BL)
After breakfast, drive 30 km north of Yogyakarta visiting Kaliurang area situated on the southern slope of Mt. Merapi at 5 km distance from the summit. Kaliurang area itself is famous as a good spot for Merapi volcano viewing activity. Next visit Prambanan and sewu temples. Then drive back to Yogyakarta town to Sultan Palace, Ngasem Market and Tamansari. Extra visit to Batik center and silversmith in Kotagede to see both products being processed. Lunch served at local restaurant. Afternoon proceed to Parangtritis area (30 km south of Yogyakarta town), visiting fisherman village, Depok beach with sand dunes view and enjoy sunset.
DAY 04. YOGYAKARTA - SOLO - BROMO AREA (BL)
Morning after breakfast or earlier at 06.00 am, check out, drive to Bromo Tengger Semeru National park area (10 hours drive). On the way stop by at Solo to visit Mangkunegaran palace, another Javanese culture center. Evening arrive at Cemoro Lawang village in Bromo area. Check in at hotel and free program.
DAY 05. SUNRISE PANANJAKAN - BROMO CRATER - IJEN (BL)
Early morning at 4 am, by 4WD jeep pass through shimmering sea of sand,drive to Mt. Pananjakan (2,775 meter ASL). It is a great spot to enjoy spectacular sunrise. Trip then continued by riding on a horse back (optional) to climb up till the rim of Mt. Bromo crater. Bromo crater is considered as a sacred place for Hindu community at Bromo and Tengger area and is to throw offering when Kasodo holy ceremony is held. Upon completion, return to hotel for breakfast and packing up, then transfer to Ijen area (5 hours driving). Lunch at local restaurant. Late afternoon arrive at Ijen area and direct check in at guest house. Evening free program.
DAY 06. IJEN CRATER LIGHT TREKKING - TRANSFER SURABAYA OR KETAPANG FERRY PORT (B)
Early morning (at 4 am is recommended time) take a short drive from guest house to Ijen ranger post. Start light trekking up to get to Ijen crater (3 hours go and back). Ijen crater is a gigantic crater and is measured 1 km in diameter and 175 meter in depth. A place for traditional sulphur mining. This trip will let you observe how hard working locals carrying full loaded sulphur material with bamboo baskets that weigh 70 - 80 kg, up and down the crater edge. Finished this unforgettable trip return to guest house, take a rest, then pack up and check out. Last, Depart to Ketapang ferry port or Surabaya for your next destination. End of service.
